Innsbruck: Skiing on the Alps!

Before I begin, I would like to apologize for the photo quality. I didn't want to bring my big camera on the ski hill, everything was taken from my iPod.

Skiing on the Alps is nothing like skiing in Canada! They are much higher mountains, and have much more breathtaking views!
I was been cautious as I have not skied in two years, and I have to admit, slightly intimidated!
It's the Alps after all!
But after a couple runs, I was feel more and more comfortable on the skis and was enjoying myself!
I'm not a horrible skier, I'm just not the daredevil I used to be, as I have broken two too many bones so far!  (One of which was on a ski hill!)

A common sight in Austria. The alps and a little church on the top of a foothill.
In most old town, churches are build on the highest point.

A sight from the lift.

Squished helmet faces!

The gorgeous scenery.

The whole gang, minus Karl.
Lisa, did not ski down hill with us. Instead, she climbs up the mountain on her skis. I have never seen this before, so I found this to be very odd. But surprisingly, she was not alone. There are many people who ski up the mountain! It took her about an hour and a half.
Something I would like to try someday!
(Another plus to this method of skiing, is it's free. The ticket you pay for is a lift ticket, and because she doesn't use the lift, she doesn't pay!)

On the t-lift up!

Nothing is better than ending a good day of skiing with a nice hot chocolate garnished with whipped cream!
mmm.

Skiing in Austria was plenty fun, but it felt different than what I was used to. It could have been the now conditions or because I was using someone else's equipment. But it was a good day none the less!
Skiing on the Alps on my spring break! I am lucky!
